Getting things right

We are a week into our trip across the country and we are still to really get into the traveling groove. Jack has been unwell pretty much since we left, with a high temp, then coughing and most recently, getting bitten by something which left him itchy and not at all happy. The little champ is struggling through and we are all looking forward to him being his old self again. There is also the little things which you just have to do and then realise there is a better way- from where you set up the tent, to how you pack the trailer, to how much you try to fit into a morning before the kids lose it.
It’s easy to look at things from a negative standpoint- “that day was hard work!” “Is this worth it?” These thoughts do go through my mind, but I then realise that the ‘getting things right’ is simply a process “I wont do that again!”, “Ah, that is a much better way of doing things.” “OK, Josie DOES like to draw ALL over herself in texta!” and each day, especially those that are hard work, helps me to better understand things, including my family and myself.
And what does getting things right really mean anyway?
