What bread may teach us about business.
Flour, yeast, water, some salt. Ingredients- keep it simple. Be good at one thing.
Knead for 4 songs, or until you get the 'feel', when you know it's ready. Embrace the work. And give it reason.
Try to stop your four year old eating half the dough himself! Deal with competition by understanding it.
Wait. Patience- get rich slow.
Wait some more. Even more patience than you thought you needed.
Knead again, for about half a song this time. Work some more.
Turn on the oven.
Place the dough in a bread tine or simply on a tray- your choice. Yes it is.
Leave it on the bench as the oven heats up. It's all about timing.
Wait. There we go again.
Place in the oven until ready.
Get it out.
Rest the bread (or wait).
Eat. Enjoy. It's what you made.
And there is pride in making.
