The landscape here on the south coast is outstanding. From rolling farming country to stunning coastline. Riding on the roads immerses you in the beautiful vistas.
It also means there are many hills to climb. In fact, from home, there are very few kms you could ride that are not either up or down. I have long realised that keeping an average speed that I used to be able to maintain on the flat roads around Perth is not possible.
Go for a 2 and a half hour ride here and you certainly feel it.
It's lumpy.
