Photo of the Day- one month reflect

Thirty photos down and I am far from a proficient photographer. I am however, really enjoying the process. Beginning to understand how an SLR camera works is fun, but for me, the real joy in the process is that fact that it forces you to really look at the world around you and think about what you may like to capture on a given day. I've already taken different roads on the way home from work, walked outside when I would usually not, paused in the middle of a bike ride, looked more closely at houses, trees, people, the world around me.

Often these detours and distractions don't lead to a photo. They have shown me new places, interesting places. They force me to look a little harder, search, think, do.

I'm not sure how long I'll keep this up. It has yet to become anything like a chore. It is still enjoyable. I might think about weekly 'themes'. We will see where it takes me.

A photo a day. I recommend it!
