Rocket Stove

I put together a rocket stove last week. Made from an old olive oil tin and 4 old tin tomato cans, it's said that the stoves a incredibly efficient. You cut the cans out to form an L shape within the tin, then fill the void with a good insulator (I used ash). The intake can has another piece of tin placed in it to create an air intake.

There is a bit of a knack to getting just the right amount of kindling to get the stove going. You try to get the fire going at the end of the bottom can, so you need to keep pushing the twigs through as they burn. Jackson was loving putting more twigs in.

The air intake and insulation work together to concentrate the heat up the main funnel. Enough to boil a nice coffee!
