Mind Dump

The physical:
7 km run over undulating terrain. Through suburban streets, natural bushland towards the sea. Along the coast, then back home.

The mental:
OK. From the door, let's go for about 35 minutes...This hill at the start makes it slow going. Maybe I should look at a different route? Lady up ahead, middle of the path. My heavy breathing should alert her. Yep, moves to the side. Morning! I wonder if I should give the leading group some tips on team formation? Maybe a document which highlights some things I have found helpful? I'm worried about D. It's that fine balance between giving ownership and giving support... knee is a bit sore. Is it the same place as when I really hurt it in that rogaine? No, this is more on the front... Those flowers are nice, winter flowers in natural bush. Nice yellow at this time of day. Morning!... warmed up a bit now. Feels pretty good. How fast is this? There's that house with all the teddys out the front. Strange. Hate this hill. Don't think I'm using the quick motion I used to running... Slightly onshore, but not bad. Any surf? One guy out at Watermans. Might be some surf tomorrow. Should see if Frankie is keen. Although, could go for a bike ride. It will be good if we find somewhere where it's not a 50 minute drive to the closest mountain biking singletrack. Looking forward to checking the east coast. Depending on the day I'm either keen to be in the mountains, or keen to be by the beach. I reckon that stretch south of Wollongong might be good. There seems to be hills close to the coast, not too far from the big mountains, apparently great beaches and surf. Suppose it will be a case of seeing and area and thinking, this is it... Well, hope so anyway... No one out at Toms. Rubbish conditions really. Cross over here. No , car. Wait... now. Home run. Theres Kate and her husband... what's his name? That's so bad I can't remember! Morning!... I'm going to go through that bit of bushland up here. Tough hill, nice through here. Nice morning. Just right temp. Almost home. Should pick up some sticks just before. Good for a warm down anyway. Good one...good one...good few here. Amazing how many twigs these trees drop. Seems like a never ending supply! Good one... good one... that's enough. Tight quad. Need to give that a stretch.. Knock, knock, knock.

On some runs, the mental seems much more energetic than the physical...
