Boy

Our precious little man is turning 4. It seems that the last four years have gone by with a blink of the eye. It is amazing to see the little boy he is turning in to. You can fall in to the trap of considering how talented he is in certain things; his amazing memory, counting skills, fantastic gross and fine motor skills, wonderful singing voice.
Yet above all of these things, as an almost four year old who is prone to getting upset, or the occassional stubborn streak,  my little man has a truely loving heart. You can see it in his eyes, in his smile, sometimes in his frown. A truely loving heart.
As a dad, it's important to recognise the speed in which the last four years have gone by. The next four years will not go any slower, nor the following. Time gives no favours, so I can't wait to seek to continuously improve being a dad, I have to be doing that everyday, in every way.
My job is to allow that loving heart to beat strong, to help it find it's rhythm, it's passion.
To love it back with everything I've got.
