My children teach me:
- Health is important- you realise just how much when your son or daughter is unwell.
- Simple things are often the best, and most fun.
- Unconditional love is just that, unconditional.
- It is easy for your own failings, insecurities, selfishness, to be written all over your child’s face, if you let them.
- Difficult things have the greatest reward.
- Throwing rocks into a river can be the most enjoyable 2 hours you could imagine.
- Sometimes doing your best is enough, sometimes it is not. Getting down on yourself simply means you wont be doing your best in the future, that’s guaranteed not to be enough.
- You are not as important as you think you are.
